The importance of having your own voice

Why I write about programming in Spanish

When someone finds out me writing Medium articles, they always come up with the same question:

Why are you writing in Spanish? don’t you want to reach more people?

Someone could pull out numbers about how many Spanish speaking humans are in the world, but this is not about that. It is about much simpler reason, it’s about making your own voice.

While boatloads of people talk about programming in English, and a lot of them are truly remarkable at it. I believe there is room for Spanish as well, and other people seem to believe so too.

It has to start somewhere right?
